Mission-critical buildings combine dozens of systems from different suppliers — building management, fire detection and suppression, access control, CCTV, networks, nurse call, medical imaging — that must work together from the first day of operation.
As Siemens Smart Infrastructure project group manager, Levent Belgin held ultimate accountability for the systems integration of the $1.3B Bilkent Integrated Health Campus in Ankara: 20+ low-voltage systems, a 600+ person organisation, a margin lifted from under 10% to over 17%, and a 10-year service contract secured at handover. Earlier work includes the Turkcell data centre, industrial facilities and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

As Siemens Smart Infrastructure project group manager, Levent Belgin was accountable for the legal, financial, technical and EHS aspects of the systems integration of the $1.3B campus, leading an organisation of more than 600 people through to Final Acceptance.

Yes. The record includes the Turkcell data centre in Çorlu and industrial facilities for Dem İlaç, Siemens, Anot Group and Mondialenobel.
How do you keep large systems contracts profitable?
Through rigorous financial control, scope and change management and early interface definition — on Bilkent, the final margin rose from a projected under 10% to over 17%.
