Solar plants that reach full output.
Photovoltaic plants look simple on a drawing: rows of modules, inverters, a substation. Delivering them on budget depends on disciplined procurement, installation quality and a grid connection that is ready when the last string is.

MWe solar + storage — Siverek
Solar schedules are compressed and margins are thin. Module and inverter prices move, installation crews scale quickly, and the grid connection often becomes the critical path. The owner needs one party watching quality, cost and interfaces at the same time.
Belgineer manages utility-scale PV for owners and EPC contractors, including the Hungary SPP (28/64 MWe) and the Siverek hybrid plant in Şanlıurfa, where 2.5 MWe of solar was paired with 5 MWe of battery storage. Earlier, as a Siemens Smart Infrastructure project group manager, Levent Belgin also delivered a 1 MWe rooftop plant at Siemens’ Gebze facility.
- 01
Owner’s engineering
Design review of layouts, string design, inverter selection and the MV/HV connection before procurement.
- 02
Procurement strategy
Module, inverter and BoP packages structured to protect price and delivery in volatile supply markets.
- 03
Construction oversight
Installation quality, earthing, cabling and QA/QC inspections tracked against a single schedule.
- 04
Hybrid solar + storage
Integration of battery energy storage with PV — control philosophy, grid code compliance and commissioning.
- 05
Grid connection
Substation, protection and connection agreements coordinated with the network operator.
- 06
Performance & acceptance
Commissioning tests, performance verification and Final Acceptance with a complete documentation set.
01
Fix the design before the price
Layouts and electrical design are validated so procurement buys the right equipment once.
02
Buy against a plan
Procurement is sequenced to the construction programme, not the other way round.
03
Inspect as you build
Quality is checked row by row, so defects never reach commissioning.
04
Prove the output
Acceptance is based on measured performance, not a checklist.

What does an owner’s engineer do on a solar project?
The owner’s engineer protects the investor: reviewing design and contracts, monitoring construction quality and schedule, verifying tests and confirming the plant meets its contractual performance before acceptance.
Can solar plants be combined with battery storage?
Yes. Hybrid PV + BESS plants shift energy to higher-value hours, firm output and support the grid. Belgineer delivered this configuration at the Siverek SPP + BESS project in Şanlıurfa.
Does Belgineer work on solar projects outside Türkiye?
Yes — the Hungary SPP is an example. Belgineer supports owners and contractors across Europe and the Middle East.
At what stage should a project manager be appointed?
Ideally before the EPC contract is signed, when design and contract terms can still be shaped. Belgineer also joins projects already in construction.
01
Battery storage (BESS)
Battery energy storage integrated with generation and grid — firming, frequency, peak shaving.
02
Transmission & substations
Substations to 400 kV, GIS, overhead lines and switchyard extensions.
03
Turnkey delivery & PMC
One accountable lead from engineering review to operations handover.
